On the 22nd of February, 2019, the fourth year nursing students, under the Allied Health Program, conducted a one-day nursing leadership seminar on Professional Etiquette in the workplace, and First Aid Management during Disaster during Disaster as part of their requirement for the NCM 107B subject. This is to enable the students to gain a better insight into how seminars are conducted by applying the knowledge and skills acquired into practice

A total of 26 nursing students across all levels attended the seminar which covered expectations and acceptable behaviors in the workplace, as well as equipping its participants with the foundational knowledge, skills, and confidence in providing care for an injured person during disaster.

Maria Theresa C. Huizo, RN, MN, nursing director of Capitol University Medical Center (CUMC), was the resource speaker for “Professional Etiquette in the Workplace”. Mark Louie W. Salugsugan, training officer of CDRRMD Oro Resue 911 was the resource speaker for “First Aid Management during Disaster”.
