Recognizing the school’s thrust towards academic excellence, Lourdes College, in coordination with the other RVM Northern Mindanao Tertiary Schools, held a Research Congress last November 29, 2018.

Hooked on the theme “Enhancing the Research Culture of RVM Northern Mindanao Tertiary Schools,” delegates from St. Michael’s College of Iligan City, St. Rita’s College of Balingasag, Lourdes College Cagayan de Oro City, Christ the King College of Ginoog City, and St. Mary’s College of Labason were actively involved on meaningful research topics that ignite an intellectual conservation among the faculty members of the different schools. Senior high school faculty representatives also participated in the congress. A total of twenty-one (21) papers were presented. It was more of a lively discussion as faculty research presenters were divided into concurrent sessions by discipline namely: Education, Arts, Humanities; Business, HRM, IT, Library and Information System; and Early Childhood, Math and Natural Sciences.

Indeed, the one-day research congress ended fruitfully as faculty members from different schools learned and valued so many things during the day. Their acquired learning from the said Congress is one of the hallmarks of the RVM Tertiary Schools to relentlessly strive for progress towards academic excellence.
