On the 23rd day of February, 2019, the Lourdesians through the National Service Training Program (NSTP) attend the Solid Waste Management Forum at the Lourdes College Audio Visual Room (LC – AVR).
The guest speaker, Mr. August Paul M. Bacarrisas, shared a moment with the NSTP students and discussed the significance regarding the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. He shared to the students his insights about cleanliness that ‘a clean city is everyone’s responsibility’. The students learned the classifications of solid waste and how to manage them effectively.
The importance of promoting environmental awareness is to open the people’s mind with a worth living atmosphere.
The world today is changing, may it be because of natural phenomena or the actions that everyone has caused the world to change. It is necessary to take part in the deed to work hand-in-hand in protecting the public health, the environmental cause, before it’s too late.
