The Lourdes College community celebrated the birth of the Lord with love and joy. The program was divided into live parts, December 17, 2019 for the college, STEM last December 18, 2018, ABM last December 19, 2018, and TVL last December 20, 2018.
The Christmas programs were held at the LC quadrangle at 3’oclock in the afternoon. Each Senior High School strand had a theme for the program, Bohemian for STEM, Denim for ABM, and Retro Vintage for HUMSS and TVL Opening speeches were filled with reminders and inspiration from the Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Judith C. Chavez who reminded the students, on the significance of the event which was to celebrate and give importance to the life of the Savior, Jesus Christ. The dynamic school president S. Rufina B. Guillano RVM, also gave her holiday greetings and message in God’s love to the students.
The afternoon was hyped up with some parlor games which really brought everyone together and strengthened their bond Dinner and exchanging of gifts then followed with a performance in Estetika The students enjoyed the rest of the night when they were able to release their energy through dance. This occasion is truly ignorable for everyone and would not be possible without the son of the students, faculty, and the ever-supportive administration.
Christmas season is not simply the time for exchanging of gifts, it is the season of great joy. The true meaning of Christmas is love. It is the time for thanksgiving, for the love, and for the life that is given to us, especially the Lord, Jesus Christ. Finally, one must be reminded to the true meaning of Christmas and that is to remember the birth of Christ.
